Photo Decor With A Professional Touch!

I am a big photo enthusiast. I love photographing my 'chic baby', even though sometimes I feel I don't do it enough. Well I just found on the ever reliable ASDA an amazing way to interpret those wonderful pictures into lovely decor ideas for your home or specifically, your 'chic baby's' room. They can take any of your photos and turn it into an acrylic panel. What's so great about it, you ask? Well once you turn the photograph into an acrylic panel, light passes through the acrylic in all directions, giving that photo an extra 'pop'. It is also mounted with brushed metal fixitures in every corner making it look really professional. It sits 18mm off the wall and therefore looks almost 3d. It comes in different sizes, their smallest is 10"x 10" which starts at 39.97 GBP and goes all the way up to an enourmous 33" x 46" print for 189.97 GBP. It really can make a wonderful artisitic centerpiece for any wall in your home.

Rock Rock Rock Your Horse!

I am in love with this rocking horse from good ol' Marks and Spencers. I like the traditional wooden type of rocking horses, although Little Tykes makes great plastic ones for the value. And Mamas and Papas have soft, plush stuffed animal-ish ones as well. I also looked at the 'mod style' trendy rockers, but I felt they were just rockers without even a horse or any other animal head for that matter and I felt a rocking horse should resemble a horse or any other animal with 4 legs. This horse is dark black wood and has natural colored wood trimmings as well. It really is beautiful up close. It costs 79.00 GBP. Also if you use voucher code MAGCUSTS, you should get 5.00 GBP off and free delivery if you spend more than 50.00 GBP. Good Luck!

Personalised Bookends.

Ok, I am on a little bit of a 'Personalised' kick right now and it also kind of revolves around your 'baby chic's' room decor at the moment. I found these bookends that can have your childs name painted on. They have 3 different styles and I am kind of partial to the farmyard style, because I feel it can go in either a chicbabygirl or chicbabyboy's room. They cost 14.00GBP and are from helenbroadhead.co.uk. They mention on the site that they are ethically produced, which is always a plus with me.

Name your baby's picture!

As I have mentioned before, I love personalised baby products. I really think it makes a baby's room their own! Well I found a lovely frame from a site called Bundles of Joy,that can be personalised with your 'chic baby's' name. They can also be given as a gift for a birth or any other occasion as well. They cost a mere 15.00GBP and I think they are quite a steal in addition to being absolutely beautiful. Also check out the rest of the site for some other wonderful personalised ideas and gifts.

Turn up the volume?

I love the funky tee's by Kit n Kin. They are so original. Their clothes don't need words or slogans because the photos on these t's make you laugh the second you see them. They come in many different colors as well as long sleeve, short sleeve. rompers and muscle t's, depending on the design, so you have a large base from which to chose. They are available at freddysays.com. The one on the right is the volume control design and every parent can relate to those moments. I also love the 'Cans', 'Tourist baby' and the "Super 8 cam" designs. The clothes start at around 14.00 GBP for a muscle top and go up from there. So give it a look and see which one fits your little 'chic baby'!

Personalise your germs!

My baby never really took a dummy (pacifier). Well I am lying, there were those brief encounters in the first few months which lasted to maximum of maybe 5 minutes and of course there is now. Even though my 'chic baby' is a toddler, when playing with other 'chic babies' who still use a dummy, my child becomes fascinated and wants one too and even wants to share! Great, isn't it? Well there is a wonderful website called mydummy.co.uk that personalises them with your baby's name or special saying. This helps the parents or caregivers, differentiate between dummies and help prevent the spread of germs. The dummies are the clever creation of a Danish company that uses Sweden's leading producer of dummies called, Esska. So not only do you get a quality and very original product, it also helps with all the missing, switched or (in my child's case) stolen dummies. They come in fabulous colors and shapes, so take a look at the website. The price starts at 8.95 GBP for a pack of 3 dummies and they would also make a really cute gift!

For your little herbivore or carnivore

I love the website "Not On The High Street". It is full of original creations for all your different needs. I was particularly drawn to these cute baby t's from one vendor called sgt. smith that puts your baby's name in the form of a dinosaur name...very scientific sounding, not to mention cute! If you look around their other offerings for sale, you will find other dinosaurs or even the new 'in the moment' skull & bones motifs. They have colors for both boys and girls as well as in unisex colors, like the one shown here. for 16.50 GBP. So look around and finally name that little herbivore or carnivore that roams your home!

Ooooh Cashmere!

Your baby is so soft and snuggly. Cashmere is soft and snuggly too....hey why don't we dress our baby in Cashmere so the snuggles can be extra soft! There are some real cashmere bargains at good ole' John Lewis. I am in their children's department often enough and for some reason I never noticed their cashmere sweater selection until just the other day. Cute designs, great colors for both boys and girls and of course extra soft...which is why they seem to be running out of them! My personal favorite is the deliciously comfortable looking hoodie pullover sweater with front pockets, it comes in 5 colors for both your 'chic baby girl' and your 'chic baby boy'. The picture doesn't do it justice!

Personalised Puzzle

One of the things I absolutely adore are personalised gifts for babies. It means the giver really took the time and it also lets your child know (well eventually when they can read) that their toys are unique unto themselves. Check out letterbox.co.uk's website. They offer so many personalised gifts but one that caught my eye is the personalised name jigsaw puzzle. It spells out your childs name in wonderful, child friendly colors and is well priced at 16.99GBP. Enjoy!

First Post

Welcome to my first post. I know its late in the christmas shopping season, but I found some cute things I wanted to share with you...maybe a new baby gift for a friend or yourself? I browsed totsplanet.co.uk and found 2 great products. First up is the Diapees and Wipees case. Stylish and clever, its great for keeping your nappys (or diapers, hence the name, American product) and wipes together instead of sorting through your nappy bag looking for one or the other, or keeping it in a big and ugly reclosable food bag, which I was guilty of for a while. It comes it great patterns, boy or girl or even unisex...so Nappy change and wipe in style! Second, who does not need something clever to finish off or pull together your baby's outfit? Well check out the baby socks from Trumpette! It comes in a beautifully packaged box, containing six pairs of socks in different lovely colors, sure to match your baby's outfit, completing your little ones look. They have the Johnny's Football socks for boys or the MaryJane socks for girls and a host of a few other designs as well...you will not stop getting compliments on this foot wear.
